Usually there is only a single, two-hour session for petitioners to argue their case in front of the Justices. Often, there is little ‘argument’ since Justices are at their liberty to interrupt the presentation, and ask whatever questions they’re actually interested in.
It is unprecedented that a single case (though, of course, this is a bundle of cases each heard separately, but all relating to challenges to the same, as-yet not-fully-implemented law).
